Dr Pia Toivanen
Dr Pia Toivanen was born in Finland and raised in Australia. She graduated with honours from the University of Sydney and has since worked across rural New South Wales, Sydney, and Germany gaining valuable experience in both community and busy metropolitan settings.
Pia enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and takes particular pride in delivering high-quality, preventative care. She has also taught Endodontics (root canal therapy) at the Sydney Dental Hospital and completed further studies in paediatric dentistry, with a focus on helping children feel at ease in the dental chair.
Known for her calm, gentle approach, Pia takes time to understand her patients and provide personalised, thoughtful care. She is also a certified provider of Invisalign Go, offering modern, discreet solutions for smile alignment.
In addition to English, Pia is fluent in Finnish and can also communicate in German and Brazilian Portuguese, helping her connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.
In 2020, Pia moved to Western Australia, drawn by its relaxed lifestyle and natural beauty. Outside the clinic, she enjoys time by the ocean, nature walks, and being with her family and dog. She continues to stay up to date with the latest in dentistry through ongoing education and training.
