Dr Yolanda Lucas
Dr. Yolanda Lucas, originally from the United States of America, obtained her bachelor’s degree, in science and biology, from Wright State University in Fairborn, Ohio. Dr. Lucas was privileged to compete for and successfully secure the “Horizons in Medicine” full academic scholarship.
Dr. Lucas pursued her medical education at Ross University and completed her residency as a chief resident at the Community Health Network Family Practice Residency program in Indianapolis, where she welcomed her first child in her final year of training.
Balancing the responsibilities of motherhood with her role as a General Practitioner (GP), Dr. Lucas derives great satisfaction from both aspects of her life, often seeing them overlap. Alongside her extensive experience in Emergency Medicine in Kimberly, she holds a fellowship with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
Dr. Lucas has been in practice for 25 years and is deeply committed to preventive medicine, holding the belief that prevention is superior to cure. She advocates for regular health screenings and early intervention for chronic diseases, many of which have genetic origins. Her primary objective is to assist individuals in maintaining their health and managing their medical care effectively.
Specializing in Preventive Medicine and Chronic Disease Management, Dr. Lucas’s expertise and interests centre on promoting wellness and addressing long-term health concerns.
